I am a man making sculpture of one part of a woman’s body over and over again.
What’s that about?
My work examines both the temporal and spiritual freight we load into beauty and attraction, color and shape, as they relate to personal identity. Complex shapes presented in simple colored gloss create a self-effacing effect, allowing us to look
past the medium and consider our personal associations.
Lips offer both assertions and the possibility for a unique personal dialog.
Finding a way into representational art through graphic design, I carried over many
of its sensibilities. A broad, instant read is my primary concern. Compelling art that
touches the largest audience possible.
Sculptures are fiberglass, vary in size within a 4’ x 4’ x 4’ space.
